Benita von Klingspor

Baroness Benita von Klingspor was born in Vienna, Austria. She attended various schools in Europe, which stressed the rules of high moral principals, good health, gymnastics for exercise and grace... and the knowledge of nutrition.
Strict standards of behavior brought discipline into her life at an early age... a valuable asset in facing the trials of adult living.

She was passing through Germany when the borders were closed... it was the beginning of World War II !
In order to endure the stressful circumstances she was taught how to be selective about what to eat and drink and rely on the healing power of herbs. Cooking food was not possible due to the heavy bombing... raw food became the major source of nutrition (when available). These eating habits to just stay alive kept her healthy and slim.

During the occupation, Benita worked as an interpreter for the 3rd and 7th U.S. army. When she moved to the U.S.A. she was offered a position as art director with Hughes Research Laboratories in Malibu, California. After many years of employment, she started her own business, designing and manufacturing clothing and accessories with her own label BvK.

Numerous awards and recognition for her work as fashion designer have not dimmed the deep personal commitment and passion she has for a better understanding of nutrition and health care.

Her formal training in nutrition and alternative medicine started her on the path to counseling others.
